Savanna Mathias, LMSW
Supervisee in Social Work
Mental Health Therapist at VBCC
I chose this path to support people in navigating life’s struggles with clarity and strength. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when they are met with understanding and support. I help clients explore their experiences, identify their inner resources, and take steps toward a more empowered and meaningful life.
I work with adults and young adults impacted by trauma, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I have experience supporting clients with attachment wounds and intergenerational patterns, as well as helping individuals navigate recovery, relapse prevention, and major life transitions. I use a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, helping clients build practical skills to manage emotions and change unhealthy patterns shaped by past experiences. I prioritize creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to explore difficult experiences and develop tools for lasting change.
